Why I’m a Legs Lady

I love training legs!

Love, love, love them!

The reason why I love legs so much is they make-up more than 65% of our total body muscle mass. This is important because the more lean muscle you have on your body the more calories you will burn.

Strong legs = strong metabolism.

Jump squats, lunge jumps, and running intervals are some of my personal favourite exercises for the gams.

Here’s an interval workout I did yesterday! Give it a go!

Advanced:

Time Speed (mph)
5 minute warm-up 7.0
30 seconds on 12.0 – 13.0
30 seconds off Stand off on the sides and keep the treadmill belt running*
Repeat Intervals 15x

Intermediate:

Time Speed (mph)
5 minute warm-up 5.5 – 6.0
30 seconds on 9.0 – 10.0
30 seconds off Stand off on the sides and keep the treadmill belt running*
Repeat Intervals 12x

Beginner:

Time Speed (mph)
10 minute warm-up 4.5 – 5.5
30 seconds on 7.5 – 8.5
30 seconds off Stand off on the sides and keep the treadmill running*
Repeat Intervals 10x

*Be careful! Hover yourself slowly down onto the treadmill. It will take some time to get comfortable going really fast but you can do it!
